Statistics of Kim Shin-wook's Attacks at Shanghai Shenhua
Kim Shin-wook, the South Korean football player who has been accused of attacking fellow players during his time at Shanghai Shenhua, was banned for three matches by Chinese football authorities on Wednesday.
The decision came after an investigation into the incident, which occurred in August last year, found that Kim had used abusive language and gestures towards his teammates.
In a statement, the Chinese Football Association (CFA) said: "We have received information about the incident involving Kim Shin-wook of the China League One club Shanghai Shenhua. The CFA has decided to ban him from playing for the next three games."
Kim's agent,Football Events Station Lee Dong-ho, told reporters that the player would appeal against the decision. He also denied any wrongdoing, saying: "I believe this is not true. I will continue to work hard to prove my innocence."
The incident caused a stir among fans of both teams involved, with many expressing their support for Kim and calling for an investigation into the matter.
However, the Chinese Football Association has since stated that it will conduct its own investigation into the incident.
It remains to be seen how this will impact the rest of the season for both teams, but one thing is certain - there will be plenty of speculation and debate surrounding the matter for some time to come.
