Shanghai Shenhua's Kim Shin-wook breaks through to the Premier League
Kim Shin-wook, a South Korean football player, has made history by breaking through to the Premier League with Shanghai Shenhua in China. The 25-year-old forward joined the Chinese Super League side on loan from Jeonbuk Hyundai Motors earlier this year and impressed with his performances.
In his debut season with Shenhua, Shin-wook scored 11 goals and provided five assists in 26 league appearances. He also helped the team reach the semi-finals of the Chinese FA Cup, where they lost to eventual champions Guangzhou Evergrande.
However,Bundesliga Tracking Shin-wook's dream move to the Premier League was finally realized when he signed for Crystal Palace last month. The move is believed to be worth £4 million ($5.7 million), making him one of the most expensive players to join the Eagles.
Shin-wook will now compete against some of the best strikers in England in the Premier League. His arrival at Selhurst Park could provide Palace with much-needed firepower up front as they look to challenge for a top-six finish next season.
The signing of Shin-wook is part of Crystal Palace's ongoing efforts to improve their attacking options. They have already brought in former Manchester United striker Wilfried Zaha and have also been linked with moves for other high-profile forwards such as Romelu Lukaku and Harry Kane.
Overall, Shin-wook's move to Crystal Palace is a significant development for both the club and the player himself. He is set to make his debut for Palace later this week, and it will be interesting to see how he performs in the Premier League.
