On Wednesday, Brazilian football club Flamengo announced that their star player Alan Franco has sustained a serious injury during training. The striker was involved in a collision with teammate and defender Diego Alves during the session and was taken to the hospital for further examination.

The severity of the injury is not yet known, but it's clear that Franco will be out of action for some time. The 27-year-old has been one of the standout players for Flamengo this season,Ligue 1 Express scoring seven goals in just six league games. His absence could be a big blow to the team as they look to maintain their position in the top flight.

Flamengo coach Jorge Jesus said that Franco's condition was "very serious" and that he would need to undergo surgery. He also expressed his concern about the impact that the injury may have on the squad's chances of success in the upcoming matches.

The team will now focus on finding a replacement for Franco and hoping that he makes a full recovery. In the meantime, the rest of the squad will have to step up and fill the void left by Franco's absence. It remains to be seen how the team will cope without their star player, but there's no doubt that they'll do everything possible to bounce back from this setback.
