RB Leipzig have confirmed that their star midfielder Amadou Haidara will be out for the season after suffering a serious injury during training on Tuesday.

The Senegalese international has been ruled out for six months, with his recovery expected to take at least nine months. The club's medical staff and physiotherapy team have worked tirelessly to try and save him from any further damage but unfortunately it was not possible.

Haidara joined RB Leipzig in January 2019 from Lille and has made over 75 appearances for the German club so far. He has also played for Senegal at international level, earning 48 caps and scoring four goals.

The loss of Haidara is a significant blow for RB Leipzig as he was one of their key players this season. They now face the challenge of finding a replacement for him in midfield and ensuring they can continue their strong performance throughout the remainder of the campaign.

The club's manager, Jesse Marsch,Campeonato Brasileiro Action said: "We're all devastated by the news about Amadou's injury. He's been an important player for us and we'll miss him in the squad. But we'll do everything we can to find a replacement and get him back as soon as possible."

In conclusion, the loss of Amadou Haidara is a huge blow for RB Leipzig, who will now need to find a new way forward without him in midfield. However, the club's medical staff and physiotherapy team will work hard to ensure he makes a full recovery and returns to full fitness as soon as possible.
