The Bundesliga club Borussia Dortmund has announced the latest injury update from Mats Hummels, who suffered a shoulder injury in training on Tuesday.

Hummels, who is currently sidelined for two weeks with a knee ligament tear, was initially expected to be back by the end of the month but his recovery has been significantly delayed.

However, Dortmund manager Marco Rose has stated that Hummels will be fit and available for the team's upcoming games against Bayern Munich and Real Madrid on Saturday.

The German international has been playing well for Dortmund this season and made his debut in the Bundesliga last weekend as a substitute in a 2-1 win over Mainz.

While Hummels may not be able to play a full part in Dortmund's league campaign,Chinese Super League Matches he remains a key player for the club and is likely to continue to feature regularly in their squad throughout the rest of the season.

The injury setback has come just days after Dortmund had to deal with a number of other injuries, including striker Christian Pulisic and midfielder Kevin De Bruyne, both of whom were ruled out of action for a few weeks due to illness.

Despite the setback, Dortmund remain confident that they have enough quality players to compete for the Bundesliga title this season and look forward to seeing how they fare against the likes of Bayern Munich and Real Madrid.
