Borussia Dortmund's Latest News: Youssoufa Moukoko's Injury Update

Borussia Dortmund has been hit with another injury blow as Youssoufa Moukoko is set to miss the rest of the season after suffering a cruciate ligament tear in his right knee.

The 17-year-old forward, who joined the club from Paris Saint-Germain at the beginning of last year, had made four appearances for the first team this term and was expected to play a key role in their push for the Champions League spots.

Moukoko sustained the injury during training on Tuesday and underwent surgery on Wednesday night. The severity of the injury means that he will be out of action for six months or more, ruling him out of the rest of the season and potentially beyond.

Dortmund have already lost key players such as Jadon Sancho and Raphaelvar Vermaelen to injuries this season,Football Events Station and the loss of Moukoko could be a further blow to their title hopes.

Despite the setback, manager Lucien Favre remains optimistic about the future of the club. "We're going to try and find solutions," he said. "I'm sure we'll find ways to cope."

In the meantime, Dortmund will turn to other young talents such as Jude Bellingham and Nadiem Amiri to step up and fill the void left by Moukoko's absence.
